Hundreds of residents in Thabong have been displaced by severe flooding and are currently taking shelter at the local Community Hall. Cleanup operations are ongoing, with stormwater drains being cleared, but many families remain without homes.

Meals on Wheels, in partnership with the Lejweleputswa District Disaster Management Centre, is on the ground providing essential support. We are serving three warm meals a day to more than 350 affected people.

The cold weather is making conditions especially difficult for the elderly and young children. For many, these meals are the only source of comfort and nourishment right now.
